Watch Netflix’s Crazy Compelling Official OKJA Trailer

The new Netflix original movie from director Bong Joon Ho (Snowpiercer), Okja, has been a source of intrigue for me for weeks.  Well, Netflix just upped their game.  They released the official full-length trailer Thursday, and it is addictive.  I’ve watched it six times.   RELATED:  Netflix Launches Oddball OKJA Marketing Campaign Featuring Tilda Swinton There is so much right with this movie on the surface.  Tilda Swinton plays a corporate gene-splicing ‘conservationist’ meat producer who want to save the world with giant meat.  There’s a little girl that loves her giant super pig.  There’s a giant super pig....

Netflix Is Producing a WITCHER TV Series

IGN has broken the news that the popular Witcher series will be made into a television show on Netflix. The Polish powerhouse series will seek creator and writer Andrzej Sapkowski‘s guidance as creative consultant. Sapkowski’s book series has taken off more than the author could ever imagine. Most notably – the game series by CD Projekt Red has brought the story of Geralt of Rivia to the forefront of many people’s minds. Unfortunately, the author receives no profit for the game nor does he have input. So this Netflix series will be closer to his vision of the story. “I’m...

OKJA Is Shaping Up with Stunning New Poster from Netflix

Bong Joon Ho’s Okja is coming to Netflix, and there’s been a flurry of marketing activity for the film this week.  The newest development is a beautiful and haunting new poster posted to Facebook on Friday. We have not yet seen a fully fleshed out photo of the creature, Okja.  We know it’s a ‘super-pig’ and we’ve seen the logo from Mirando Corp, the company that’s producing it, that gives us a cartoon of the creature.  But, this new poster confirms the shape of Okja… if only the shape. RELATED: Netflix Launches Oddball OKJA Marketing Campaign Featuring Tilda Swinton The poster...

Netflix Launches Oddball OKJA Marketing Campaign Featuring Tilda Swinton

I love clever marketing, and Netflix is nailing it with their campaign for their upcoming original film, Okja.  Tilda Swinton‘s character and her company are the focus of the campaign.  In fact, they are the campaign itself.  Netflix has populated a Twitter account for Lucy Mirando (Swinton’s character) and a website for Mirando Corporation.  And, let me tell you… it’s funny and disturbing and so pink! RELATED:  Modern Priorites and Enduring Truths Clash in in OKJA Teaser The Twitter account is full of ‘inspirational’ quotes, positive world problem-solving talk, a letter to fans, and the most amazing videos.  Lucy...

NETFLIX: What Is Arriving and Leaving May 2017

Every month, Netflix rotates their selection. Knowing this but not paying attention to the press release lists can lead to some unhappy households (like my husband and I waking up one morning to find X-Files gone) and some super happy nostalgia moments (like my husband cheesy-grinning over the animated The Real Ghostbusters). With a few days left in April, there are still a few shows and movies scheduled to leave ahead of May 1st. For your convenience, and last-ditch binging planning, I’ve included these leaving in the list below. First, though, a few highlights of what is coming, presented...
