NETFLIX to Increase Subscription Prices

Cord cutters have long cited pricing of standard cable and satellite as a reason for dropping those services and switching to streaming services like Netflix. But with more and more channels, like Disney, pulling away from partnerships with these streaming services to create their own online services and apps, getting to all the content fans want is getting to be more expensive. And prices of these services, while still cheaper than cable on their own, are just going to increase.  As Mashable reports, beginning now for new Netflix users, and coming soon for existing users, prices will increase for...

STAR TREK: DISCOVERY Now Has Klingon Subtitles on Netflix

Why is it that the United States gets the short stick when it comes to Netflix? I mean, Netflix is the home of Star Trek: Discovery for those that do not live in the United States. Or, apparently, Canada, but they get Star Trek:Discovery on their television via the Space channel (think their version of our Syfy). Well, on top of the ability to watch Star Trek:Discovery without an added pay service, like the US customers forced to purchase CBS All Access, Netflix users get the opportunity to watch new Trek in Klingon! Horror has a newly adapted face, and it’s handcuffed to a bed.  Netflix released the trailer for its new film adaptation of Stephen King’s Gerald’s Game on Wednesday and it’s going to mess with your head.  The tag line for the trailer is, “Breaking free will require more than keeping her sanity.”  That is an understatement.  Carla Gugino stars as a woman who is left handcuffed to her bed when an innocent little bondage game between spouses ends in the unexpected death of her husband (Bruce Greenwood).  This is a nightmare, in a nightmare, in a nightmare.  And, if...

NETFLIX: What Is Arriving and Leaving SEPTEMBER 2017

This Friday begins September. School’s back in session and soon the leaves will start to change color and temperatures will begin to drop. It’ll soon be time to start pulling together soup recipes and gearing up for that orange gourd spice flavoring, packing away the summer clothes and freshening up the cozy hoodies. Maybe, at least for those living in idyllic lands. For the rest of us, it means nothing special or maybe the start of the homework induced crying rage fits (from the children as well as their parents). Why not take time over the weekend to snuggle...
