Jason Bourne hits theaters today so what better way to celebrate than with a look back at the Bourne Trilogy with the Honest Trailer treatment.

The original movie, Bourne Identity, exploded out of the gate back in 2002 and surprised everyone.  No one I personally knew thought Matt Damon could carry an action movie, we were all proven wrong.  With the commercial success of Identity, Bourne Supremacy (2004) and Bourne Ultimatum (2007) quickly followed.

It’s now been 9 years since the last installment hit theaters, I’m not counting Bourne Legacy because that starred Jeremy Renner and not Matt Damon.  Nothing against the movie, it’s just not a Jason Bourne movie.  A few people I know haven’t seen the original trilogy, anyone that hasn’t seen the movies should sit down, have a marathon, and then go see the latest installment.  For those that have seen Identity, Supremacy, and Ultimatum, you can watch Matt Damon summarize the plot in a 90 second refresher video.  Once all of that is done, sit down and watch the Honest Trailer treatment.

My favorite line; “He’s forgotten everything, except the useful stuff, like how to weaponize an entire Staples catalog.”

Enjoy!
