With Kerrigan dangerously low in health, Auriel’s Crystal Aegis kept her alive for a little longer, but it wasn’t enough as a Ragnaros Sulfuras Smash took her out. Valla and Auriel would go down next, leaving Tassadar alone to defend the core. With a Mortar Punisher leading the way, the core went down before the rest of No Tomorrow’s heroes could respawn. It looked like Superstars were going to have a momentum shift; however, Zeratul’s Void Prison stopped 3 Heroes, which gave Falstad time to swoop in with a Mighty Gust which pushed them all back into 3 waiting GFE players. Tyrael was the first to go, Medivh then followed. The rest of the Superstars started to retreat but a Brightwing Polymorph slowed Tychus long enough for him to go down. With 3 heroes down for Superstars, GFE was able to take the last remaining Bell Tower right before the Triple Altar Phase. Morales followed, plus a Mosh Pit and a Ring of Frost from Jaina weakened Team Freedom. Zul’jin was the first to go. An Artanis Phase Prism swapped Artanis into the middle of Team Naventic who quickly took him out along with Auriel.  With only 2 TF Heroes remaining, Team Naventic took this opportunity to push forward to the core. A fight at the core took an unexpected term, when Team Freedom’s Heroes respawned just in time to join the fight. With their core health at 54%, Team Freedom took out Chen and Jaina with Johanna’s Blessed Shield.  With the core at 25%, Team Freedom killed Valla, E.T.C., and Lt. Morales. Focusing their sights on the bottom right Tower, both teams engaged in a 5v5 skirmish.  A 3-man Void Prison from Zeratul stopped TF for a second, and Team Naventic was able to take out E.T.C., BUT Death Metal activated stunning 2 Heroes, Tracer and Brightwing, who are taken out quickly. After Ragnaros came out of Molten Core he is taken down. Varian and Zeratul make their retreat, but they are not fast enough. With Team Naventic wiped, Team Freedom was able to claim both bottom Bell Towers, giving them a x5 advantage. With the 2 Altars activating, Team Naventic only had 2 Heroes to defend, Tracer and Brightwing, but they are not enough to stop Team Freedom from channeling both Altars. Winner: Team Freedom

Team Freedom dropped what they could to defend, including E.T.C.’s Stage Dive, Thrall’s Earthquake, and Lt. Morales’ Stim Drone. Ragnaros was not able to channel a fallen keep with Molten Core because Team Naventic was forced back. As this went on, Team Freedom’s Webweavers made their way to Team Naventic’s core. Team Naventic tried to go back, but harassments by Team Freedom slowed them down. With core health at 88%, both teams arrived at the core but it was too late for Team Naventic to defend. Entering the Team 8 base, the Boss attacked a keep, while Tempo Storm kept Team 8 busy. A 3-man Void Prison from Zeratul could have ended in disaster for Team 8, but Medivh’s Ley Line Seal prevented any sort of combo from happening. Unable to repel the push, Zarya and Varian go down. Zarya is then taken out, followed by Medivh. A lone Tychus is faced with a 1v4 battle and he doesn’t last very long. Team 8 tried to convert one of Tempo Storm’s Bell Towers and a 5v5 skirmish occurred at the lower left Tower. It was successfully converted and gave Team 8 a x5 advantage; however, Sulfuras Smash took out Varian, and a Mosh Pit stunned both Li-Ming and Malfurion, giving Tempo Storm a chance to take out 2 more Heroes. With only Illidan and Tassadar remaining, Tempo Storm made an attempt for the Boss. A 2v5 was not enough to stop Tempo Storm from claiming the boss and handing Team 8 a match loss.
