Amazon Prime’s Invincible may be trying to best Game of Thrones by way of having the largest television cast in history. As reported by Deadline, the Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead) series has added eight new cast members to its expanding roster. The additions were announced on Sunday at CCXP Worlds by Kirkman himself.
So, who’ll be joining Steven Yeun‘s Mark Grayson in a world riddled with superhero antics? Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali as Titan, Clancy Brown as Damien Darkblood, Nicole Byer as Vanessa and Fiona, Jeffrey Donovan as Machine Head, Jonathan Groff as Rick Sheridan, Jon Hamm as Steve, Djimon Hounsou as Martian Emperor and Ezra Miller as D.A. Sinclair.
Kirkman, who created the Invincible comic book series, also brought a few members of The Walking Dead cast into the fold. Lauren Cohan, Chad L. Coleman, Michael Cudlitz, Lennie James, Ross Marquand and Sonequa Martin-Green are trading in the post-apocalyptic scene for the world of superheroes.

Invincible follows Mark Grayson, a 17-year-old who develops superpowers of his own while his father, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons), is the most powerful superhero to exist. But, since every origin story needs conflict, Mark discovers that his dad’s legacy may be darker than he imagined.
Now, the above isn’t the whole cast for Invincible. Previously announced stars include: Sandra Oh, Seth Rogen, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Zazie Beetz, Mark Hamill, Walton Goggins, Jason Mantzoukas, Mae Whitman, Chris Diamantopoulos, Melise, Kevin Michael Richardson, Grey Griffin, Max Burkholder, Zachary Quinto and Khary Payton.
This cast is most certainly stacked, folks. Invincible not only boasts some incredible voices, but the story is intriguing. I have yet to read the comics. However, I’m excited to give the show a shot when it airs. Adult animation is my jam.
Invincible will soar onto Amazon Prime for eight episodes in 2021.
