ANT
Kicking off this spooky week is Jaehee’s ANT. The series follows Sihwan Kim, who moves away to live with his friend Dabin Park. But the town and everyone in it is a bit mysterious. Things only get worse as a group of unidentified groups of ants swarm beneath them. As if that wasn’t bad enough, an experiment gone wrong results in a monster-like ant that has taken to kidnapping the townspeople. Sihwan and Dabin must now find a way to survive and escape this horrible nightmare.
We don’t hate ants. In fact, we find them a bit indearing. However, ANT has undoubtedly made the cute little bugs more terrifying. Take anything and make it monster-size, and we will have nightmares. But that isn’t entirely what spooks us with this. The suspense and false sense of hope will make you terrified. Tie that in with the black-and-white artstyle; this series fits right into a spooky weekend binge-read.

Tales of the Unusual 2
We have talked about Seongdae Oh’s Tales of the Unusual in a past Saturday Morning Webtoon, and we couldn’t skip this one. Tales of the Unusual 2 is another horror anthology that is sure to spook even the bravest of people. From twisted games of evil demons to blind dates gone wrong, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Each short story is guaranteed to pull you in and cause you to unravel right along the twists and turns.
We hope Seongdae Oh doesn’t stop with Tales of the Unusual 2. The spooky short story format is perfect for this time of year, giving readers something to enjoy each night leading up to Halloween. We love that it includes multiple little stories that grab our attention from the start. They are immersive, and we would hate to see what kind of nightmares Oh experiences. If you are looking for something to build up the spooky season, this is it.
