The clones are back in town. Clone High has been thawed out for a second season and will soon hit Max (HBO Max). Here’s everything we know about the Clone High continuation so far.

The general premise for the show’s first season starts with a mad scientist trying to raise an army using clones of notable historical figures. Unfortunately, they can’t make the clones fully grown and instead have to raise them from birth to adulthood. Though a cult classic and instant hit with fans of adult humor, the original show only ran for one season.

That brings us to the second season. Acting as more of a continuation and less of a reboot, we pick back up with the same set of clones 20 years after the original experiment was put on ice. Now, Joan, JFK, Abe and Cleo have been thawed out to resume school with their new clone classmates, all while navigating a new set of cultural norms and overly dramatic teen relationships.

I feel really good about this second season as the show’s original creators, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, will return. The creative duo’s body of work includes Cloudy with a Chance of MeatballsThe LEGO Movie and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-VerseAs you can see, they’ve been quite busy since 2003, and I can’t wait to see what changes their new experiences bring to the show.

Like the creative team, much of the original cast will also return to lend their voices to the series. This includes Abraham Lincoln (Will Forte), Mahatma Gandhi (Michael McDonald), Joan of Arc (Nicole Sullivan), Cleopatra (Christa Miller) and John F. Kennedy (Chris Miller).

Joining the original cast of clones are a host of new figures, like Confucius (Kelvin Yu), Harriet Tubman (Ayo Edebiri), Christopher Columbus (Neil Casey) and Frida Kahlo (Vicci Martinez). I’m pumped to have some new personalities in the mix to change the dynamic of the clone cliques.
