These six young outcasts know nothing about the ship they have commandeered, a first in Star Trek history. But over the course of their adventures in the vast galaxy, they will begin to understand their own strengths and how to work together as a team. The crew will also be introduced to Starfleet and all of the ideals it represents.

The Star Trek: Prodigy teaser introduces Dal (voiced by Brett Gray), who is looking for any chance to escape to a better life. And while some may doubt he has the ability to do so, Dal isn’t ready to give up. We also get a glimpse at the other five main characters and Dal and their ticket off the planet. The series stars Gray, Ella Purnell (Gwyn), Jason Mantzoukas (Jankom Pog), Dee Bradley Baker (Muff), Angus Imrie (Zero) and Rylee Alazraqui (Rok-Tahk). Kate Mulgrew will also be reprising her role as Captain Janeway.

Star Trek: Prodigy is set to launch in fall 2021 on Paramount Plus. Check out the teaser below. Are you excited to dive into this new series? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
