James Cromwell, a 50 year veteran of the acting world, has joined the cast of the Jurassic World sequel according to THR. He joins returning cast members Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard as they encounter more dinosaurs. While Cromwell’s role is undetermined, we know he’ll bring his gravitas to the part.

Cromwell has been in so many beloved films including the likes of Babe and The Green Mile. He’s forayed into television with 24, American Horror Story: Asylum, and Six Feet Under. And these are only the tip of the iceberg for his career! You Trekkies out there will know him from Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Enterprise. He was even in Spider-Man 3! His career is a mile long and this film will add even more geek credit to his resume.

Jurassic World revived the Jurassic Park franchise, bringing in a whopping 1.6 billion box office in 2015. J.A. Bayona is set to take over directing duties from Colin Trevorrow. We don’t know much is known about the sequel yet. Trevorrow has been speaking of it since 2015. He had once said that the film may not stay set in the theme park and can explore more areas. He even hinted their could be dinosaur soldiers?! Who knows how this will end up being!
