Harley Quinn Is Fabulous in First Look of BIRDS OF PREY

They’re here! Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn) has been building up a crazy good cast list and today we got our first look at them. From the 20 second teaser we can see that we’re in for one hell of a ride and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) is at the wheel.

In the teaser we see all the actors in a screen test for their roles. We see Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, rocking a long dark coat as well as a more tactical outfit. Jurnee Smollett-Bell is taking Black Canary in the direction of a singing sensation, gold mic and all. Rose Perez is a menacing Renee Montoya, ready to kick ass with her baton. Ella Jay Basco is sporting a cast while looking very child-like as Cassandra Cain.

As for the rest, Ewan McGregor appears to be a very stylish Black Mask, ready to walk the runway. Chris Messina has given Victor Zsas some bleach blonde hair and a thuggish attitude. And finally, Harley Quinn is looking fabulous in an outfit which looks like she made herself. She also appears to have chopped her hair off, rocking small pigtails. It’s colorful, it’s eye catching – this film is setting itself up to be a ton of fun. Additionally, Margot Robbie shared a selfie in her new Harley Quinn outfit on her Instagram account.

I’m pretty excited for this. I know that it’s the very early days but if the cast is having that much fun in screen tests, it will hopefully bleed into the rest of the film.
