It’s been way too long since we’ve heard anything about Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Marvel Entertainment and ABC released a special look at season six of the hit show, raising questions about what is going on with Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg).
Then
Let’s rewind. AoS season five ended as the team left for space to find an earlier version of Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) in space. The current version died in the final battle of season five, shortly after marrying Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge). Before launching, they dropped off Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) with Coulson in paradise. And nothing else was revealed. Not even if the team was affected by the Thanos Snap.

Now
Agent Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie (Henry Simmons) is the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D. His team consists of Agents May, Simmons, Daisy Johnson/Quake (Chloe Bennett), and Elena Rodriguez /YoYo (Natalia Cordova-Buckley). Also look for Agents Davis (Maximilian Osinski) and Piper (Briana Venskus) to return as well. OH and Deke Shaw (Jeff Ward) as well. As for Coulson…well, you have to watch the trailer.
As expected the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will have to deal with a new threat. A powerful threat to say the least. Not much is known about the new villains other than they cause a lot of destruction. And they have a familiar face among them.
I have always felt that AoS would not be the same without Clark Gregg. And apparently the powers that be feel the same way. Without giving too much away, let’s just say Coulson is always present. I’ll let you see for yourself.
As for Simmons and Fitz, it appears that Simmons may be thinking of freezing herself as well? I’m not really sure what’s going on there, but I did see Enoch (Jeff Stoffer) in one of the shots. If you recall, there is a version of Enoch with an earlier version of Fitz, currently in space.
