Cloak & Dagger is less than two months away and we don’t know all too much about the show. Well, we do know that our two leads will be connected to each other with their powers. But what about the rest of the cast? Who are they? Well we have some brand new pictures that give us a look at who will be with (or possibly against) the teens as they go through their journeys’ of discovery in their powers. Potential spoilers for those who don’t want to know!

First we have the teens and their family. Aubrey Joseph plays Tyrone Johnson/Cloak and Olivia Holt plays Tandy Bowen/Dagger. Andrea Roth plays Tandy’s mother, an optimistic woman despite the loss of her husband. Gloria Reuben and Miles Mussenden play Adina and Michael Johnson, Tyrone’s parents. Oddly enough, the Johnson parents are never named in the comics, only having their names created for the television series. The more you know! Carl Lundstedt will be playing Tandy’s boyfriend and partner-in-crime. We can only assume things will end pretty quickly when she discovers her powers and is drawn to Tyrone.

Our final three are an interesting group. First off we have J. D. Evermore as Connors, a mysterious and intimidating detective with a secret. What that secret is, we don’t know just yet but we need to keep an eye on him. Next we have Emma Lahan as Detective Brigid O’Reilly who has a comic book tie. The character was introduced in the very first issue of Cloak & Dagger in 1983. While she appeared in the next few issues, the character was brought back in second run of the series. This time, O’Reilly died and was reborn as Mayhem, a vigilante determined to bring justice upon those who killed her and her fellow officers. And lastly we have Jaime Zevallos as Father Francis Xavier Delgado. Father Delgado was also introduced in the first issue of the comic. Both Cloak and Dagger go to him for food and shelter, which he gives after hearing their plight. And while he detests their vigilante lifestyle, he would rather keep them safe.

Now this doesn’t mean the characters will end up in the same place as their comic counterparts. Adaptations don’t usually line up. However, it’s good to know the character’s backstories to see how they progress compared to the show. Frankly I’m looking forward to seeing what they do with these characters. The comic tie-in characters have a very interesting run in the comics so it would be cool to see them come to life in screen. Namely Brigid O’Reilly and her transformation over the series. We’ll see!
