On March 4, 2024, LEGO is releasing Set #43242, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ Cottage. This set is 2,228 pieces, is priced at $220, and is intended for 18+ rather than for children. For all the Disney fans who are still children at heart, this LEGO set is a perfect celebration of the first full-length animated film.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ Cottage is the first Disney Princess-themed set that is original LEGO and not LEGO Friends. LEGO Friends was created to appeal more to children so the builds are often not as intricate, and the mini-figures are shaped completely differently. Because of these differences, many adult fans were unimpressed with what LEGO had to offer in the way of Disney Princesses. Now, with this new Snow White set, adults can enjoy having a complex build, mini-figures that match the rest of their collection, and a set that evokes the magic of Disney.

This set comes with 10 mini-figures, including Snow White, the Prince, the Evil Queen (as the witch), and all seven dwarfs. LEGO is being super generous with their inclusion of so many characters; another sign of this set targeting a different demographic. Making this more for collectors’ appeal, the number of mini-figures and Snow White’s animal friends hits straight at the heart of the nostalgic Disney fan.
The cottage itself allows for re-creations of some of our favorite scenes from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Not only does the cottage include the dinner table, beds, and the organ for playing “The Silly Song,” but outside also has the wishing well where Snow White meets the Prince and the glass coffin for the Prince to rescue Snow White in the end.
The fireplace also comes with a light brick to make it seem as if Snow White is actually cooking dinner for the dwarfs and baking her famous gooseberry pies. There is also an attic space filled with chests of jewels that the dwarfs have mined. All the details have us singing that this set might be our “one love.”

With all of the features, characters, and details, the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ Cottage set was designed for kids at heart who love classic Disney. Finally giving adult Disney Princess fans a challenging build, it still has the magic and charm of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
