Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 … aka Jessica Jones’ Return
She’s finally making her well-deserved MCU debut. Yes, the ex-superhero-turned-private-investigator, aka Jessica Jones, will join Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox) in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. Actress Krysten Ritter will reprise her role nearly six years after her Netflix series — named after the titular character — took its bow.
Now, we don’t know in what capacity Jessica will appear in the highly anticipated eight-episode second season. However, Ritter dangled the carrot a bit while at the Javits Center for Disney’s Upfront presentation.

“It is so great to be back. Returning to Jessica after three seasons, and The Defenders and now joining the MCU. I am so excited to bring back this iconic character. Without giving too much away … there’s much in store for Jessica Jones – this is going to be an incredible season.”
Jessica Jones aired 39 episodes in its four-year run, from 2015 to 2019. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil was the first character of the Defenders — Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage/Power Man (Mike Colter) and Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones) — to crossover into the MCU proper. As of writing, we don’t know if anyone else from Jessica Jones, Luke Cage or Iron Fist will appear in Daredevil: Born Again.
However, in addition to Ritter, Matthew Lillard is also joining Season 2. Elden Henson, whose character Foggy Nelson died in the series premiere, will return for the second season.

Where We Left Off
If you recall, Season 1 concluded with Matt declaring his intention to wrest control of New York City from Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) and his wife, Vanessa Fisk (Ayelet Zurer). Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) returns from California to assist, along with Frank Castle/Punisher (Jon Bernthal).
Daredevil: Born Again is currently in production for Season 2, with a premiere aiming for March 2026 on Disney+. Season 1 is now streaming on the platform.
