Daredevil: Born Again
A new face will appear alongside the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Interestingly, this news arrives mere days before the series premieres on Disney+, so details about the second season are under wraps.
Who’s signing on to the Season 2 cast? Matthew Lillard (Five Nights at Freddy’s) will join the Marvel fray in an unknown role. According to Deadline, production for the second season starts next week.

Matthew Lillard
Lillard’s storied career spans decades. Depending on who you ask, he’s most known for 2002’s Scooby-Doo, 1998’s SLC Punk! and the Scream franchise. He also appeared in a memorable turn in 2023’s Five Nights at Freddy’s as Steve Raglan/William Afton.
His other credits include a starring role in NBC’s Good Girls, which ran from 2018 to 2021, and various Scooby-Doo animated projects, lending his voice to Shaggy Rogers. He can be seen next in Mike Flanagan’s The Life of Chuck as Gus, which hits theaters on May 30. He’s also returning for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, due out later this year, and 2026’s Scream 7.

“In Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.”

The series stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, Ayelet Zurer and Jon Bernthal. Dario Scardapane serves as showrunner. It’s a continuation of the 2015 Netflix series that sports the rare TV-MA rating for a Disney+ show.
Daredevil: Born Again premieres its first two episodes on Tuesday, March 4, only on Disney+.
