Let the bromance recommence! Chris Pratt a.k.a. Star-Lord will appear in Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder opposite Chris Hemsworth, Variety reports. Taika Waititi will helm the fourth Thor installment and serve as co-writer alongside Jennifer Kaytin Robinson for the script. 

Now, Pratt is joining an all-star cast. Thor: Love and Thunder stars Hemsworth as our titular God of Thunder, while Natalie Portman will reprise her role as Jane Foster. Portman’s last go-round as Jane was in 2013’s Thor: The Dark World. Additionally, Tessa Thompson will return as Valkyrie. Valkyrie became the new ruler of Asgard in Avengers: Endgame. But that’s not all! Actor Christian Bale is purportedly circling a mystery role that’s being kept under wraps.

Thor encountered the Guardians of the Galaxy in Avengers: Infinity War. He seemed to gel well with everyone save Star-Lord, who was clearly intimidated by the Asgardian. Their rapport served as one of my favorite moments in Infinity War. I’m excited to see them together again for Thor: Love and Thunder. 

Rumors have been moving through the grapevine regarding Hemsworth’s potential appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy 3. The crossover would make sense since Thor is last seen hopping aboard Star-Lord’s ship at the end of Endgame. 

Thor: Love and Thunder‘s plot details are being kept under lock and key, as per Marvel’s usual. We know that Jane will inevitably become the Goddess of Thunder, since she takes up that mantle in the comics. Regardless, I’m tickled pink with Pratt’s addition and Portman returning.
