The CW has released synopses for their two hit series, Arrow and The Flash, that include two highly anticipated characters — the television premiere of Dr. Light and the return of NBC’s John Constantine in his first appearance since the show’s cancellation!

First, here is the synopsis for Arrow.

“Haunted”

MATT RYAN REPRISES HIS ROLE AS JOHN CONSTANTINE ON ARROWWhen things take a turn for the worse with Sara (guest star Caity Lotz), Oliver (Stephen Amell) calls in a favor from an old friend who deals in the mystical, John Constantine (guest star Matt Ryan). John Badham directed the episode written by Brian Ford Sullivan & Oscar Balderrama (#404). Original airdate 11/4/2015.

From this synopsis, we can assume that Sara Lance has already been brought back to life through the Lazarus Pits since “things take a turn for the worse” for her. With the airdate of November 4th, we can assume that Sara will find her way into the Lazarus Pits of Nanda Parbat very very soon.

Also, the synopsis notes that Constantine is “an old friend” of Oliver’s. Does this mean it’s possible we’ll see him in some flashback stories?

Next, we have the synopsis for The Flash.

“The Darkness and the Light”

DR. LIGHT COMES THROUGH THE BREACH Barry (Grant Gustin) learns a new breacher, Dr. Light, has come through the portal and sets off to capture her. Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) tells Barry that Dr. Light was not a threat on Earth-2 and that Barry can reason with her. However, during a fight with The Flash, she blinds him and drops some shocking news about Zoom. Meanwhile, Barry and Patty (Shantel VanSanten) go out on a date. Steve Shill directed the episode written by Ben Sokolowski & Grainne Godfree (#205). Original airdate 11/3/2015.

In the comics, there are two Dr. Lights. There’s the truly awful villain, Arthur Light, who actually raped Sue Dibny and is one of the most despised villains DC has for that reason. Then there’s the hero, Kimiyo Hoshi, who is actually faster than Superman, able to fly at the speed of light, and can create light constructs similar to Green Lantern as well as shooting blasts of light. It sounds like, for the series, they are most likely limiting her power to blasts of light, as she blinds Barry. The interesting thing here is the information on Zoom. What information could she have that is so shocking? Our guess is that Zoom is the Earth-2 version of Harrison Wells. Or is it Eobard Thawne?
