The 2022 Star Wars Celebration has given fans a wealth of new Star Wars stories to look forward to and the LEGO Star Wars panel did the same.

My fellow brick heads will be excited to know we have several new sets on the horizon. The panel promised there will be lots to build and experience for LEGO Star Wars fans this summer. Here is everything that was shown off during the panel.

LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation

First, we have to talk about the new series coming later this year. Set after Episode IX, our heroes just defeated the Emperor and need to get away. The panel revealed it will feature tons of characters from across the saga.

Fans can look forward to a musical number in the grand LEGO Star Wars special tradition.

If it is anything like the LEGO Star Wars special we got in October, LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales, it will be awesome. I’m excited to report LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation will stream on Disney Plus starting August 5.

LEGO Star Wars 2022 Advent Calendar Minifigure Sneak Peek

Speaking of vacationing Vader, we got a sneak peek at the special figures that will be included in the LEGO Star Wars 2022 Advent Calendar. This is a special annual tradition for LEGO fans, and this year we got to see one of the mini-figs.

The panel showed off the summer-ready Darth Vader minifigure. The clever minifigure showcases Vader in a red tank top, proving that even Sith Lords need a vacation.

Unfortunately, this was the only one they were willing to share ahead of the calendar’s release. The rest will have to be a surprise!

 BD-1 Set

The lovable droid from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is getting the LEGO brick treatment, as a new set was revealed. The said set is moderately complex, consisting of 1,062 pieces. It’s posable, with moving legs and a tilting head, and features an extendable tray that holds canisters like in the game.

The set also comes with a data plaque and minifigure version of BD-1. The BD-1 set is available for pre-order now on LEGO.com and arrives at major retailers on August 1.

Andor-Themed Set

The LEGO panel revealed the first official Andor-themed set. It focuses on the “Ambush on Ferrix,” a scene inspired by the upcoming Disney Plus series.

The set includes minifigures of Cassian Andor, his companion Luthen Rael and inspector Syril Karn. The vehicles featured are Karn’s Mobile Tac-Pod and a speeder bike. Karn’s vessel has a rotating double stud shooter, movable wings and doors that open and close.

The set is available for pre-order now on Target.com and LEGO.com, and arrives at Target and LEGO retailers on August 1. I don’t think this set will last long so pre-order early.

LEGO Star Wars Short – 45 years of Star Wars: A New Hope

The panel surprised the crowd by playing a short dedicated to 45 years of Star Wars: A New Hope. The short stars the heroes and villains of Star Wars attending a screening of the movie that started it all.

Hilarious and charming, it was a fitting tribute to the galaxy far, far away in classic LEGO style.

It is packed with hilarious moments that you have to see for yourself. Watch it with us here:

That’s a wrap on the LEGO Star Wars panel! We got a lot to look forward to this summer. Will you pre-order any of the sets? What will you build first?
