Out of the Las Vegas Licensing Expo, we’ve got our first synopsis for the highly anticipated film, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
This synopsis doesn’t so much tell us anything we didn’t already suspect based on what we’ve seen of the trailer and what we know from the comics. What it does, more than anything, is confirm our suspicions while, at the same time, giving us a bit more detail by bringing in the “new threat” that is quickly arising. Is that new threat Lex Luthor? Is that new threat Doomsday, as a lot of people have guessed?
WB’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released in March of 2016.
