Happy birthday to Doctor Who’s, Catherine Tate!
My favorite companion, an actress/comedienne I idolize and fellow Taurean!
Catherine made waves as The Doctor’s companion, Donna Noble from 2006-2009. Besides being funny, she had incredible chemistry with David Tennant and it was a partnership I really enjoyed. Her departure from the show was very upsetting to me, to say the least.
Before Doctor Who, Catherine was mostly known for her sketch show The Catherine Tate Show and more specifically for her role as Lauren Cooper. Here’s a favorite sketch of mine from a Comic Relief, a few years ago. Just wait for a fun guest star:
Since then she’s appeared with Tennant a number of times on stage and in Doctor Who audio dramas. Here’s a clip from Much Ado About Nothing:
Happy Birthday, Ms. Tate!
