There’s a lot of awful things in the world that’s highlighted by the media because it means ratings. In fact it seem overwhelming at times and I wonder what kind of world I’m leaving my niece. What I know, what I have control over are my own actions and the things I put out into the world. Science fiction, the funny and silly are the things that I love and are the themes/points of view that I want to focus on. Because we need it. We need to spread kindness and compassion because we have enough of that other shit going on, and being perpetrated enough.
Shea Glover, a high school student from Chicago ended up putting this beautiful video and photography series, together, but almost unintentionally. She clarifies on her YouTube channel that getting a reaction out of people was not her intention but to simply photograph people she thought were beautiful.
It’s incredible to watch how people receive the very simple phrase “You’re beautiful”. It’s emotional, so grab some tissues and hey…You’re Beautiful!
