The Lady in Silver, aka Sophie Beckett
Bridgerton has found its Sophie Beckett in Yerin Ha. As reported by Variety, the actress will star alongside Luke Thompson‘s Benedict Bridgerton in the period drama’s highly anticipated fourth season. Said season will adapt the events in Julia Quinn’s An Offer From a Gentleman, the third novel in her Bridgerton romance series.
Ha’s casting comes three weeks after we learned Season 4 will focus on Benedict, the fourth Bridgerton sibling in the titular series to get an onscreen adaptation of his love story. The season will zero in on Benedict as he tracks down an enigmatic woman from his mother’s masquerade ball — the “Lady in Silver.” Of course, we know this is Sophie.

Bridgerton Season 4
The logline for the new season is short and sweet: “[Season 4] turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down.”
If you recall, Season 3 planted a few hints regarding where the overarching narrative will take us. In the season finale, Eloise (Claudia Jessie) departs for Scotland, where she’ll stay with newlyweds Francesca (Hannah Dodd) and Lord Kilmartin (Victor Alli). We learn about their mother Violet’s (Ruth Gemmell) masquerade ball, which Eloise wouldn’t miss for the world. As for Benedict, he mentions he’s not ready to settle down. That’s a key indicator that he’s about to have his universe upended in the best way possible.

Yerin Ha
Yerin Ha is most known for her starring role as Kwan Ha in Paramount+’s Halo, a live-action adaptation of the titular video game series. She also starred in the Stan Originals 2023 boarding school drama Bad Behaviour as Alice. Other credits include Prime Video’s Troppo as Ah Rah opposite Thomas Jane and the crime drama Reef Break as Technie Jane.
I’m excited to see Yerin take on the role of Sophie. She and Luke will undoubtedly have sizzling chemistry. Bring on Season 4.
