WEBTOON has broken barriers across genres in the webcomic industry. It has everything from fantasy to romance to suspense to outright thrillers. But what some people might not realize is that they have a vast young adult collection of series. These are stories that are perfect for those looking for something a little more mature than your typical WEBTOON series but not downright steamy or intense. They vary in style and genre, but we are sure there are more than a few that will catch your fancy. Here are nine series we suggest starting with if YA WEBTOON series are up your alley.
Four Leaf
Our first YA WEBTOON series is Lumaga‘s fantasy series Four Leaf. The story follows Lupe, who has been pulled into a magical world by her best friend. Now she finds herself in the middle of an ongoing battle between witches who are looking for the remains of the Wolf and their hunters. All Lupe wants is to find a way home, and it looks like the Lady of Wishes is the only one who can do it. But does this mysterious Lady really exist?
Four Leaf updates every Friday and can be read here!

Ghost on the Roof
Our second series is Klaus Scrimshaw‘s Ghost on the Roof. This modern-day retelling of The Phantom of the Opera follows the young opera singer Christine. Her dreams of singing were shattered after a tragic accident during an audition. But when a mysterious voice on the roof promises to help her change her fate, she must decide if his help is worth the risk. And who is this mysterious gentleman? What are his real intentions?

Sable Curse
Do you love your YA WEBTOON series with a bit of drama, curses and death? Look no further than Little Melon‘s Sable Curse. The fantasy series follows Terron Vogel, who finds herself dead at 19. Well, that would be her fate if she can’t find a way to end her curse. Even her family isn’t ready to let this spell do her in. They head off to a magical retreat packed with wealthy guests, secrets and maybe – just maybe – the answer to lifting Terron’s curse.

Lady Knight
We wouldn’t be able to talk about YA WEBTOON series without talking about Lion Illustration‘s Lady Knight. The story follows Aurora, a young orphan who learns she has been marked by a terrible curse and is recruited into an ancient order of knights. Not that this isn’t hard enough to grapple with, Aurora finds herself as not only the first female knight but the only one. Now, she must learn to control her dangerous abilities and those around her.
Lady Knight will be back soon for season two. Catch up on season one here!

Children of Mirra
Our next YA WEBTOON series is new to the app but worth diving into immediately. MTS’ Children of Mirra follows Sein, a child of unknown origin, who embarks on a lone journey after being left by his master. But Sein isn’t on this journey alone for long and meets friends as he moves forward. This journey also allows Sein to grow on his own and experience and explore things he wasn’t able to in the past, all on his path to becoming the world’s greatest hero.
Children of Mirra updates every Friday and can be read here!

Morgana & Oz
One of our absolute favorite YA WEBTOON series is Miyuli‘s Morgana & Oz. It fits some of the best parts of YA series. Angsty vampire? Check. Struggling witch? Check. Morgana is from a long line of witches who expect the world from her, while Oz is from the rival vampire clan. After a chance encounter and a few stray spells, the two are stuck working together or run the risk of an all-out war.

Cursed Princess Club
Our next YA WEBTOON series is LambCat‘s Cursed Princess Club. Because – duh. Gwendolyn is living proof that princesses don’t have it all. She lives in the castle with her father, the King, but that is where her fairy-tale princess story ends. She’s got a big heart but isn’t particularly attractive and doesn’t have that Disney-quality singing voice. Thankfully, she has the Cursed Princess Club to fall back on and learns that it’s okay not to “fit the mold” to be happy.
Cursed Princess Club is currently on hiatus but can be read here!

The Kiss Bet
Oh, folx, where do we start? Ingrid Ochoa‘s The Kiss Bet is our absolute favorite YA WEBTOON series. And we know that is a tall order, but Ochoa fills it. Sara Lin turned 18 and is coasting through her senior year. She has a cool dad, a great best friend and a whole lot more ahead of her. The last thing she wants to stress over is the fact that she hasn’t had a first kiss. But that’s all about to change when her bestie Patrick challenges her to a bet that will either lead to love, heartbreak or embarrassment.

Realta
Our final YA WEBTOON series for this list is Rachel Eaton‘s Realta. The fantasy story takes place in a magical world where twelve star signs descend to bless humanity with magic according to their date of birth. Fourteen people were given a star from each Sign that allowed them to receive prophecies of the future and summon great powers to defeat the Fae. But the future in which Elowen lives has changed, and the Realta have all been forgotten – until now.
