X-FORCE Gains Director and Writer in Drew Goddard

That’s right, friends! X-Force is really well and truly happening. And we know this because thanks to Deadline, we just learned that Drew Goddard is set to direct and write the film. The Deadpool spinoff film is getting that much closer to blowing up the big screen.

Due to his popularity, we know that Deadpool is going to be the driving force and center piece of the film. Will he be donning the grey suit? Other characters established in the upcoming sequel are sure to play a part. Namely, one cybernetic man called Cable. We’re unsure if Domino will also be joining them on their romp but we’re gonna cross our fingers tight she makes an appearance.

Goddard is best known for writing Cloverfield, directing The Cabin in the Woods and launching the Daredevil series over on Netflix. Since then, he has tried to get back into the geek world, originally writing The Martian script for himself to direct, though the project was taken over by Ridley Scott. He also wrote the script for Spiderman spinoff film, Sinister Six, before that was thrown away and lit on fire. But since he helped write the Deadpool 2 story, that should really help transition into X-Force quite nicely. Best of luck to you, sir!
