The adorable duo is returning! Wreck-It Ralph was a major success in 2012 and is returning for another adventure – this time in a world so vast it’s awe-inspiring. The internet! But since Ralph lives up to his title, he’s gonna wreck the internet. And with his best friend Vanellope von Schweetz in tow, the two are up to absolutely no good while they explore the family-friendly side of the internet together in Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2.
In the trailer we see that the old arcade has a bit of an update – a Wifi router. Our duo investigate the router before they’re zapped into the world wide web and all it’s wonders. Like pop-ups! And clickbait articles! Bidding on silly stuff on eBay. Let’s just say there’s going to be a lot of references in this movie. I can even see a few in the trailer – such as “BuzzFood”, cat videos and so much more. In addition, we get to cover the wonderful world of app games. Unfortunately for a cute little bunny, Ralph gets a little too excited at the feeding aspect of the game. You’ll have to see it.

I’m excited for this movie. Being a child of the internet, I’ll be able to completely understand the references unlike the original film. Yes, I may be born in the 80s but I am sadly ignorant to most games from the 80s. Some references flew right by my head. At least with the internet, it’s filled with such weird things – it makes a great place to explore. At least the nice side of the internet that is.
Check out the trailer below! What references did you catch? Let us know in the comments and be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more Pixar fun.
Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 leaves Litwak’s video arcade behind, venturing into the uncharted, expansive and thrilling world of the internet—which may or may not survive Ralph’s wrecking. Video game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) must risk it all by traveling to the world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, Sugar Rush. In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet—the netizens—to help navigate their way, including a webite entrepreneur named Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site “BuzzzTube.”
Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 comes to theaters November 21.
