Amazonians unite! The Wonder Woman sequel has a release date! This is incredibly exciting news for fans of the Amazonian princess’s first adventure which debuted this June. While the release date is not soon enough, it’s certainly exciting to know it’s truly coming.

According to THR, talks with Patty Jenkins is still ongoing for returning to direct. Gal Gadot is set to return as the heroine we fell in love with though, so we will see her again. No other news regarding the film has been released outside it’s currently release date – December 13th, 2019. Yes, we’ll have to wait until 2019 to see Diana out on her own again. But the film is destined to be a holiday hit.

Her first solo movie shattered box office records. The film grossed $389 million domestically alone. To put that in perspective, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 made $387 million domestically and it was a sequel to a smash-hit film. We can only imagine the numbers a sequel to Wonder Woman will pull in. Fans of Diana don’t have to wait too much longer to see her again though. She’ll be teaming up with her superfriends in Justice League, coming out November 17th of this year.
