Over in Forbes Reports, in an interview with director Lexi Alexander (Punisher: War Zone), she makes the claim that DC and WB have already made an offer to an unnamed female director, saying, “If she says yes, everybody will be very happy, including me.”

She went on to decry the current state of movie-making, asking for more transparency on this particular film out of fear that the public will turn against all female directors if the movie fails, which could be entirely the fault of the studio.
I mean, the female director they’re excited about is Kathryn Bigelow, right? I’m not sure that WB is going for a Penny Marshall version of Wonder Woman. Julie Taymor, on the other hand, that could be a total fever dream of a movie!
