Warner Bros. moved Wonder Woman 1984 from August 14 to October 2. This is the fourth rescheduling for the film, originally set for a December 13, 2019 release date.

Wonder Woman 1984 director Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot released statements via Twitter. Jenkins stated, “Wish we were sharing our film yesterday but there are more important things going on in our world we’d rather you focus on for now. Thank you to our fans for being so great, by our sides. Can’t WAIT for you to see it! Sending love and healing to the world. See you October 2nd!!”  Read Gadot’s reaction below.

Christopher Nolan’s Tenet release date is pushed back two weeks to July 31. Warner Bros is also re-releasing Nolan’s Inception on July 17 to celebrate the film’s 10th anniversary. The re-release will feature never-before-seen footage from Tenet and exclusive sneak peeks from select Warner Bros. films.

The Matrix 4, originally set for May 21, 2021, moves back to April 1, 2022. Production could restart as early as July according to Deadline. Godzilla vs. Kong moves from November 20 to The Matrix 4‘s original spot of May 21, 2021.

The most excellent sequel, Bill and Ted Face the Music, moved up their release date a week to August 14 in the spot that Wonder Woman 1984 leaves behind. After Godzilla vs Kong‘s move, the next installment of the James Bond saga, No Time To Die, takes the November 20th release date. That’s five days earlier from its first rescheduled release date of November 25th. The film will release in the UK on November 12th.

As of now, it appears that Disney’s live action Mulan could be the first blockbuster film of the summer, debuting July 24th. Of course, all of this could change in the blink of an eye. We’ll keep you up to date on all of the upcoming movie release dates and news.
