Word is that Wonder Woman 1984’s release date may be pushed back. Warner Bros has scrubbed their “countdown” to the release date from social media. This would be in line with many studios so far as they struggle with the realities of coronavirus/COVID-19.
However nothing is confirmed. A beautiful motion poster was released for the film. We see Diana Prince kneeling on one knee in her Golden Warrior Armor against a beautiful moving oil swirl painting background. She looks fierce. AND, the poster has a release date of June 5th. So, Warner Bros hasn’t ruled out releasing the movie on schedule, yet.
As previously reported on GGA, in the film Diana is living in Washington D.C. with a job at a museum.. She’s been been keeping a low profile since the end of WWI. The film finds her facing two all-new foes: Max Lord and The Cheetah.
Director Patty Jenkins also tweeted the poster. No word from her on delay rumors.
Wonder Woman 1984 is directed by Patty Jenkins. Jenkins wrote the screenplay with Geoff Johns and David Callaham. The film stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Natasha Rothwell, Soundarya Sharma, and Kristoffer Polaha with Connie Nielson and Robin Wright.
