MV5BNTA0NTI4OTgxNF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMzE4MTc4Mw@@._V1_SX640_SY720_Being a kid of the 80’s I have a soft spot for Linda Hamilton. She was a part of so many projects that I was a fan of and clearly everyone else. Most notable Sarah Connor from Terminator and Terminator 2, but more importantly for me, Catherine Chandler from Beauty And The Beast. Honestly, who didn’t want to live in a sewer with a lion-man for a lover, it was just so romantic!

Linda Hamilton was born and raised in Maryland and later moved to New York to study acting with Lee Strasberg. After a string of supporting roles she landed the lead in Stephen King’s Children Of The Corn which was panned by critics but has now quite the cult following.

Next up, Linda Hamilton starred in The Terminator. An unexpected success, it opened number one at the box office in 1984. Afterwards she ventured back to television to star in one of my favorite show, Beauty And The Beast with Ron Perlman. To be fair it doesn’t really hold up, but it is near and dear to my heart. It was a family favorite.

Linda Hamilton returned to the big screen with some big guns (her arms) in 1991 with Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Not only did the movie end up grossing over 500 million dollars it was a huge transformation for Ms. Hamilton. She went into intense training to change her physique to reflect the changes her character went through. It was all anyone could talk about! I was super jealous and still strive for those arms. I will also say that if casting depends on how sculpted one’s arms are, I would nominate Michelle Obama for the next Terminator movie. She would kill it.

Linda has worked steadily and has recently appeared in SciFi favorites Chuck, Lost Girl, and Defiance.
