This is the year to celebrate over at Wizards of the Coast. Not only did Dungeons and Dragons celebrate their 45th anniversary, but 5th edition is celebrating their fifth year as well. This means big celebrations incoming and all of the dice goblins are going to be happy with their announcement today. The team has figured out that the stone for the 5th anniversary and the 45th anniversary is a sapphire. They also learned they could embed a small sapphire into the d20 without causing it to be unbalanced. There are some smart people over at Wizards of the Coast!

What does this have to do with us? Wizards of the Coast has created an exclusive dice set just for the anniversary and they are beautiful. The set includes eleven precision anodized luxury aluminum dice, including two d20s, one d12, two d10s, one d8, four d6s, and one d4. The two d20s will have laboratory grown sapphires in place of the twenty. This way every criticism will sparkle with the excitement we feel on the inside. The other dice will have the official D&D ampersand engraved on the highest value.

These dice are beautiful and have me practically begging for them over here. The set also comes with a custom dice box and tray combo to protect your little pretties, a premiere foldout card featuring 5th edition statistics with vibrant art, a set of stickers, and a collectors card to confirm the sets authenticity. The set will go on sale November 21, 2019 at 11am pst and will go until they are sold out. Make sure to get there quick because there are only 1,974 sets available! (You know the same year they released dungeons and dragons!)

The set is only available through Wizards of the Coast on their site and will retail for $299.99 (USD). This will honestly make a fantastic gift for your favorite dungeons and dragons player or collector of shiny click clack dice. Oh, and did I mention they are beautiful!
