Will Arnett has been attached to Peacock, Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions and Universal Television’s Twisted Metal series as an executive producer since the beginning. But today, they announced that he is taking on another role for the adaption. Arnett will star and voice the iconic character of Sweet Tooth. If you have never played this global video game phenomenon, you might not know that the terrifying clown has a name. And knowing that Arnett will be voicing him makes all of this even better.

Sweet Tooth is a lover of chaos. He is a majestic rage-filled killer who dons an ever-smiling clown mask and uses “Lost Vegas” as his personal kill-ground while rolling around in his infamous doomsday ice cream truck. He is literal nightmare fuel. For me, for you, for everyone else watching and Anthony Mackie‘s John Doe. Let’s hope our favorite post-apocalyptic delivery man is able to avoid ending up on the wrong side of this clown.

Arnett and Mackie are joined by Stephanie Beatriz and Thomas Haden Church. Neve Campbell will be a recurring guest star throughout Twisted Metal. Now that most of the principal casting has been announced, unless they have a few other ones hidden away, it seems like we are ready to move on to getting this show on the road. Literally and figuratively. Peacock intends to bring us a high-octane psychedelic adventure, and with this cast, we are expecting big things.

Twisted Metal follows John Doe, who works as a delivery driver in the post-apocalyptic Divided States of America. He is fine spending his time “safely,” traveling between settlements and avoiding trouble. That is, until he is given a mission that promises a better life if he delivers a mysterious package across the wasteland. We imagine that the delivery point is either in “Lost Vegas” or takes him right on through it.

We don’t have a release date for Twisted Metal yet, but hopefully, things are starting to switch into high gear. Be sure to check back for more exciting news! What do you think of this casting? Will Arnett give you nightmares too? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
