The Amazon Prime Video upcoming epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time, released a stunning video tease of the Two Rivers set. To excite fans of the book series even more, the video specifically shows The Winespring Inn in Emond’s Field.
As we’ve mentioned before, every Wednesday, The Wheel of Time Twitter account has been hosting a read-along of the first book, The Eye of the World. The read-along came to a close this past Wednesday and as it finished, a beautifully shot set video of where the book begins was shared. The tweet has a quote from the character Thom Merrilin which reads, “‘You want stories?’ Thom Merrilin declaimed. ‘I have stories, and I will give them to you. I will make them come alive before your eyes.'”
The video begins with the camera on a page from the beginning of The Eye of the World. The page describes the charming, idyllic setting of Emond’s Field. The page reads:
“The Winespring Inn stood at the east end of the Green, hard beside the Wagon Bridge. The first floor of the inn was river rock, but the foundation was of older stone some said came from the mountains…”
As the sounds of nature are heard in the background, the camera pulls away and Emond’s Field and The Winespring Inn are revealed.

Earlier this year, the social media account released an image of the Emond’s Field set, however, it was an image of a working set, not a video and it didn’t show the beauty of the rustic village or The Winespring Inn. Emond’s Field in The Two Rivers region is where our young heroes in the series are from. The region is the backdrop from the beginning of the book and is referred to and visited throughout the book series.

The Wheel of Time is based on Robert Jordan’s fantasy series spanning 14 books. The final three books in the series were written by fantasy author Brandon Sanderson after Jordan’s passing. It is set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists, but only women can use it. Meaning that in this series — women hold the keys to power. The story follows Moiraine, a member of the shadowy and influential all-female organization called the “Aes Sedai” as she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women. Moiraine is interested in these five because she believes one of them might be the reincarnation of an incredibly powerful individual, whom prophecies say will either save humanity or destroy it.
