The big day is here on What We Do In the Shadows! In “The Wedding,” Nandor (Kayvan Novak) insists on having the perfect wedding day, at the expense of Guillermo’s (Harvey Guillén) patience.

Nandor is really stressed out about the wedding. He hasn’t slept because he keeps thinking of things to add to the wedding. Guillermo hasn’t slept either because he is the only one working on finding Nandor’s things. And when Guillermo can’t find something, Nandor is convinced that someone is trying to sabotage his wedding … including Marwa (Parisa Fakhri).
Nadja (Natasia Demetriou) and The Guide (Kristen Schaal) are working on finding ways to attract a new type of customer … Rich Humans. They go over promotion strategies, but are interrupted by Guillermo’s screams. He’s frustrated with Nandor again and goes about tearing up a room. There’s feathers everywhere. Nadja realizes that Guillermo is doing everything by himself and offers to help.
One of the items on the list is to ask The Baron (Doug Jones) to officiate the wedding. Nadja and the Guide offer to take on the task for Guillermo. The Baron is flattered, but declines. He’s still very crispy from being burned alive and doesn’t want to be seen like that. Nadja’s solution is to give him a makeover. The Guide, the Sire, the Baron and Nadja go on a shopping spree, but the Baron still won’t agree.

While Nandor gets advice from the Djinn (Anoop Desai) on his wedding coat, Marwa interrupts to request that her parents attend the wedding. Her parents are dead of course, so Nandor would have to use a wish to make that happen. And he’s running out because he used wishes on the most ridiculous things. He gives in and wishes for the return of Marwa’s parents, but only for the wedding. And that they speak English.
Guillermo runs into one of his old hunting pals, turned vampire, Derek (Chris Sandiford). Derek works at a convenience store because he still has to pay bills. Guillermo wonders why Derek just doesn’t take the money from his victims, but Derek is a vampire; not a thief. Guillermo realizes that Derek is very lonely and invites him to Nandor’s wedding.
Nadja and the Guide tell Nandor to ease up on Guillermo and use the Djinn to fulfill his wedding wishes. In fact, Nadja demands it! Nandor gives in and makes three wishes. 1. For the Baron to return to his uncharred self. 2. To have a live do-do bird at his wedding. And 3. that Marwa likes all of the same things he likes. And that’s it. The Djinn says Nandor has used up all of his wishes. Nandor is a little sad that all of his wishes are gone. And regrets that he wasted so many wishes.
The wedding day arrives, held at Nadja’s nightclub. Nadja and the Guide hypnotize the neighbors Charmaine (Marissa Jaret Winokur) and Sean (Anthony Atamanuik) so they don’t freak out that everyone is a vampire. Laszlo (Matt Berry) insisted that they be invited. The humans spend a lot of time asking about vampire life.
Guillermo helps Nandor prepare and gets a confession from Nandor. He’s scared. He still thinks someone is trying to sabotage his wedding. Guillermo calms him down, saying he will always be there to help.

When the wedding stops, the Baron enters first, looking great. Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) and Nadja-doll are the flower children. And then Marwa enters with her father. The Baron welcomes everyone and then asks if anyone objects to the marriage. Surprisingly, a lot of people object. Marwa’s mother thinks it’s unnatural. Nadja thinks Nandor is only getting married because he wanted the wedding. And many other trivial things. That ends when Marwa tells everyone that she had her doubts too. But now she likes everything that Nandor likes.
At the reception, Laszlo and Nadja take turns getting intimate with the Baron. The Baron asks Nandor if he’s going to turn Marwa. That is yet to be determined. Marwa hugs and kisses Guillermo a lot to thank him for helping her. I guess this means that Nandor really, really likes Guillermo.
Laszlo and Nadja take over the stage and perform some of their classic numbers. Everyone is having a good time until the duo start singing about consummating the wedding. Nandor walks away, annoyed and finds Colin Robinson and Nadja-doll drawing a penis on Guillermo’s head.
Nandor chases them away and tries to wipe off the ink. It won’t come off. So he puts his coat over Guillermo’s head while he sleeps. Awww …

The Djinn says Nandor wasted so many of his wishes. He wished to ride a bee. He wanted to play basketball with … I think it’s Scottie Pippen. The Djinn doesn’t judge though.
The next morning, Sean is asleep in the yard with his pants down. Charmaine is on her morning run when she finds him. Neither of them remember the wedding. Charmaine says she was in bed by nine. She did eat a CBD gummy though.
