BAT! Variety reports that FX has renewed What We Do in the Shadows for Season Four! Praise be to the Superb Owl! Fans, you can rest easy today.

This news comes hot on the heels of the show’s Season Three premiere, which is slated for early next month. The President of Original Programming for FX Entertainment, Nick Grad, had this to say regarding the renewal:

Fans can’t seem to get enough of  What We Do in the Shadows and FX is ready to feed that appetite by setting up the series for a fourth season. Our thanks to the extraordinary job by the creative team, cast and crew who keep making a great show better each season.

Season Three brings about a slew of changes following Guillermo’s (Harvey GuillénBuffy the Vampire Slayer moment. Our vampire housemates are struggling to figure out what to do about Guillermo’s vampire hunter lineage. The core Staten Island crew will encounter a tempting Siren, gargoyles, the vampire from which all vampires are descended, Atlantic City casinos, gyms, wellness cults and much more.

Nandor experiences a “midlife” crisis of sorts (Can vampires go through that?), and Colin Robinson will be turning the big 1-0-0. Party time!

But a fourth season renewal isn’t all we’ve got! The Powers That Be bestowed a Season Three trailer for our viewing pleasure. Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), Laszlo (Matt Berry) and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) ascend the ranks as leaders of the Vampiric Council. Understandable, considering there’s really no one left after Guillermo killed them all.

Judging by the trailer, Guillermo finally joins the team, Laszlo becomes a lawyer that objects to everything, there’s a competition to see who rules the vampiric roost and werewolf kickball

You can watch the official Season Three trailer below. What We Do in the Shadows stars Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillén and Mark Proksch. Be sure to tune in for the supernatural fun when the series returns on FX on Thursday, September 2, with a next-day showing on Hulu.
