In a brand new teaser today for Marvel’s upcoming Disney Plus animated series What If…? we finally got the chance to see what Steve Rogers (voiced by Josh Keaton) is up to. The show’s premise is that the Watcher (voiced by Jeffrey Wright) is guiding us through different timelines within the MCU where the events differ from what we have already seen. For example, one major change that they have been showing off is asking what if Peggy Carter (voiced by Hayley Atwell) had taken the super serum.

The new What If…? clip may be on the shorter side, but it really does pack a punch. Peggy requests air support and is surprised to find Steve flying in. Not Captain America Steve, but the skinny boy from Brooklyn. However, he isn’t just running in without some support. We get our first look at the Hydra Stomper in the clip, which reminds us heavily of the early Iron Man suits. We also get a quick glimpse of Bucky (voiced by Sebastian Stan), who looks to be helping out Captain Carter.
I really do love the idea of this series. You are inevitably asking yourself that same question during a screening of any of the MCU films. What if they chose someone else to be Captain America? Or what if Doctor Strange (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch) didn’t get into the car accident? These questions are unlimited and so much fun to ponder.
