The release of What If…? Season 3 from Marvel Animation is just around the corner. The final season of the series will see more multiversal adventures and the addition of even more Marvel Cinematic Universe variants to the show’s roster. Of course, you can also expect to see some returning favorites as well.
What If…? Season 3 Trailer
First and foremost, many of your favorite characters from the previous seasons will be returning. This includes The Watcher (Jeffrey Wright) and his right-hand woman, Peggy “Captain” Carter (Hayley Atwell). Also reappearing are characters like Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Bill Foster, aka Goliath (Laurence Fishburne), Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Bucky Barnes, aka The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).

In addition to these characters, there are also a few fan favorites confirmed to return by the trailer. These include Howard the Duck (Seth Green) and Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings). That’s not to mention Wong (Benedict Wong) and Kahhori (Devery Jacobs). Plus, how about Okoye (Danai Gurira), Sam Wilson, aka Captain America (Anthony Mackie), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo)?
New Faces
But it looks like we’ll also be seeing some new variants this season. These include an Old West Shang-Chi (Simi Liu) and alternate versions of other more recently introduced MCU characters like Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) and Moon Knight (Oscar Isaac). Plus, it looks like more mutants are on the way. The trailer promises a shocking appearance from Ororo Munroe, aka Storm (Alison Sealy-Smith). Incredibly, all these mentioned so far are only some of the characters promised in what promises to be eight truly action-packed episodes.
