Yippee-Ki-Yay, True Believers: WHAT IF…? Season 2 Gets Trailer, Poster and Release Schedule

And Thanos wept, for there were no more worlds left to conquer. Or at least, it’s possible such a scenario could unfold in the world of What If…? For season 2, it turns out the strange scenarios will arrive on a daily basis. Marvel Studios revealed the release schedule, trailer and poster on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Here’s what we learned about What If…? season 2.

What If… the Marvel Cinematic Universe Did a Die Hard?

There were already plenty of reasons to be excited about What If…? season 2. These include the debut of an all-new, all-different superhero, Kahhori. But the new trailer gives us even more reasons to count down the days until the show’s sophomore season debut.

Among them is what appears to be an alternate Avengers roster, one that includes a young version of Hank Pym (Michael Douglas). Pym already had an exciting part to play in season 1. Now, it appears he will join some other familiar faces in facing down a young, possibly homicidal Peter Quill.

Meanwhile, it seems another episode will see Tony Stark, Korg, Valkyrie, Gamora and the Grandmaster racing on Sakaar. This adds context to a LEGO set released contemporaneously with the show’s first season. In addition, it looks like a holiday-themed episode will bring Die Hard vibes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Rick and Morty will be so proud.
