Rockstar Games has yet to announce Grand Theft Auto 6, a sequel to GTA 5. However, GTA 5 is a hugely successful game and it would be surprising if the company didn’t make a new GTA.

There is a large amount of potential with GTA 6, as Rockstar could make many more billions of dollars. So while it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, there are some suggestions that it is happening and fans have many ideas of what they’d like to see from the game.

GTA 6 May Have More Multiplayer Content

In GTA 5, Rockstar created a huge online multiplayer mode called GTA Online. This multiplayer mode is why the game has made so much money. Players have been able to buy new vehicles, clothes and property for their characters and take on missions with other players. A new update also added a casino, explains CasinoGrounds. The casino update is one of the biggest addition to the game, as it allows players to play games such as roulette, blackjack and poker. It’s unclear if Rockstar would make a casino for GTA 6 too, but it seems likely that the game will have a good amount of multiplayer content.

GTA 6 Could Be Much Bigger

The GTA 5 map is incredibly big but GTA 6’s map could potentially be bigger. GTA 5 was created for PS3 and Xbox 360 and the game didn’t come to PC, PS4, and Xbox One until some time later. This meant that Rockstar was unable to use the full power of these platforms when it was first creating the game.

GTA 6 will likely be released on PS5 and the next-generation Xbox console as Rockstar job listings, written about by Dexerto, confirm that the company is working on next-generation games. These consoles will allow developers to make larger games that load faster, allowing GTA 6 to be bigger without taking a long time to load.

Where Will GTA 6 Be Set?

The GTA series has done some traveling since the first game was released in 1997. Main games and DLC have taken the game to Rockstar’s versions of California, New York City, London, and Miami. However, GTA 6 could help the developer to earn more frequent flier miles.

An article by VG247 reveals that GTA 6 rumors suggest that the game will take place in Vice City, Rockstar’s version of Miami, and there may also be some missions that are set in South America. This hasn’t been confirmed, but Rockstar does like looking at the socioeconomic issues of a city. Most Vice City gameplay has also been in the 1980s, so this could be a modern version of the city.

An article by GamesIndustry reveals that GTA 5 is the most profitable entertainment product, having sold 90 million copies and having made $6 billion. With the game maintaining its popularity, it seems unlikely that Rockstar will announce GTA 6 any time soon. However, it may announce the game at E3 2020 where it would likely be part of the other major reveals of the PS5 and the next Xbox. Rockstar also used the Sony E3 2014 event to announce GTA 5 for PS4 and Xbox One, so the game may be announced next year if Sony holds another E3 event.
