That’s right! We got a new one minute trailer at the Superbowl and now we’ve got a new TV spot for Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2! What makes this even better is that it’s coming on the tail of the news last week that the film received a perfect score of 100 at Marvel’s “friends and family” screening. The previous films to get even close to that were Iron Man 3 and the first Avengers film, both of which went on to do very well at the Box Office and receive a lot of acclaim from audiences. Well, maybe not Iron Man 3 so much — that Mandarin twist still stings a bit.

The TV trailer, much like the trailers before it, does not give away too much of the film. James Gunn has gone on record saying he doesn’t want the trailers to betray one single story point, especially knowing there are crazed fans out there like us that will dissect every 1/4 second of film to find clues and Easter Eggs. That said, we do get to see the Guardians rocking the galaxy to David Bowie‘s “Suffragette City,” which is just about one of the best songs for the Guardians ever. After all, it does feature the line “Wham Bam Thank ya Ma’am,” which is essentially what we’ll all be saying to this film and it’s creators once we’ve seen it.

We also get to see Gamora (Zoe Saldana) wielding that super gun like a boss and Drax (Dave Bautista) kicking in a door with the team behind him. Also, we couldn’t help but notice a new detail at the very beginning — when Gamora wields her sword against the Abilisk, Star-Lord and Rocket are both hovering around it, firing some lasers at it.

All in all, this is stacking up to be quite the galactic adventure.
