WESTWORLD Casts THE LEFTOVERS Katja Herbers

HBO likes to keep it in the family, often casting actors from one of their shows in another.  It’s something I love about the content they put out.  It’s much like following a theater company.  You see the same actors play different roles and understand what it is to change and adapt to different characters.  Well, HBO has done it again, casting actor Katja Herbers in the upcoming second season of Westworld.

Herbers is known for her role as Dr. Eden in the recently concluded The Leftovers, and she was a formidable presence as Helen Prins in Manhattan.  We do not know if she will be playing another awesome scientist, but she will be playing a guest on Westworld, ‘whose latest visit comes at the park’s darkest hour.’  This according to Entertainment Weekly.  Could that be the hour that we were left with at the end of season 1?  It was dark, indeed.  But, my gut tells me (based on exactly zero actual knowledge) that the hour will get darker still.  EW also reported that filming for season 2 of HBO’s sci-fi thriller will begin this month.

There is no set premiere date for Westworld‘s sophomore season, but there are rumors that it’s expected sometime in 2018.  In the meantime, if you haven’t seen season 1, now is a good time to catch up!  We’ll keep you updated on further developments.
