We’ve got our first trailer for Disney Plus’ UK original rom-com action thriller Wedding Season. It was announced last year as the flagship international offering. The show is being produced by Dancing Ledge Productions and Jax Media. George Kane directed the series from a script written by Oliver Lyttelton. The trailer gives us a look at the mysterious yet hysterical situation they find themselves in after things go awry at a wedding.
Wedding Season follows Katie (Rosa Salazar) and Stefan (Gavin Drea), who fall for each other at a wedding. The two begin an affair, seemingly forgetting that Katie is already engaged to another. When it’s her time to head down the aisle, Stefan tries to stop her, but from the trailer, it looks as if he just finds himself on the embarrassing side of the fence. To add insult to injury, he is arrested after Katie’s new husband and his family end up dead at the reception.

The police think it was Stefan. Stefan thinks it was Katie. And no one knows the truth. Now it’s up to them to put aside their own suspicions and uncover who is really behind the string of murders. But if the trailer for Wedding Season has taught us anything, there is something seriously mysterious behind all of this. We get little tidbits that maybe Katie’s future husband and his family might not have been the good guys she thought they were. And maybe Stefan doesn’t know everything about Katie.
Alongside Salazar and Drea, the series will star Jade Harrison, Jamie Michie, Callie Cooke, Bhav Joshi, Ioanna Kimbook, Omar Baroud and George Webster.
