Earlier today, Wattpad Webtoon Studios announced their upcoming project titled Webtoon Unscrolled. The project will create graphic novel imprints of our favorite stories to our favorite stores’ bookshelves. They are dedicated to publishing high-quality novels that and their first series will hit shelves in the fall of 2022. Bobbie Chase, previously Vice President of Global Publishing Initiatives & Digital Strategy at DC Entertainment, will join Webtoon Unscrolled as Executive Director!

Webtoon Unscrolled will kick off this new project by bringing us graphic novel copies of Tower of God by SIU, True Beauty by Yaongyi, Doom Breaker by Blue-Deep, Boyfriends. by Refrainbow, Everything is Fine by Mike Birchall and Cursed Princess Club by LambCat! That’s six new graphic novel series of stories we love and a great way to kick off this new project. But, we have a lot of questions! First, will they be published in large volumes? These series are still ongoing and unless they are going to be wrapping up soon (please don’t say that’s the truth), I can’t imagine they will publish the entire series.
Second, what series are we going to see next? Because I have quite a few recommendations for the Webtoon Unscrolled editorial team! Feel free to shoot me an email. Anyway, we can’t wait to see how this project works out! The platform is the perfect place to read each of these series, but as an avid book collector, I love the idea of having a physical copy of the series I love. Plus, there is a chance that we might get bonus material for Rachel Smythe did in Lore Olympus! We are just going to have to wait and see if Webtoon announces more in the future.
