Over the last few years, WEBTOON has given us terrific TV/film adaptations like Netflix’s Lookism, All of Us Are Dead and Hellbound. And we can’t forget all of the K-Dramas like TrueBeauty that have been living rent-free in our heads. Last year, we talked about five WEBTOON originals that we wanted to get TV treatment, and we are back this year with another ten. So, we are manifesting that in 2023, these ten series (and the five from last year) will get their chance on the screen.

In the Bleak Midwinter;
One of our favorite TV and WEBTOON genres is sci-fi which is why it’s absolutely impairment that Kat and Ali’s In the Bleak Midwinter; gets an adaptation in 2023. Who doesn’t watch a series that centers around a girl who decides to cryogenically sleep away her problems only to wake up to find that the world has entered the apocalypse? It’s got action, suspense, mystery, romance, and so much more. Honestly, if this doesn’t make for an extraordinary weekend-long binge session, I don’t know what will.
In the Bleak Midwinter; updates every Wednesday and can be read here!
Finding Fiends
Here at GGA, we love cryptids and the lore and myths behind them. So, of course, we would love for LizardxLizard‘s Finding Fiends to make it to the screen. Just picture this – a guy runs his car into the Mothman, and the two become best friends. They would instantly skyrocket to the top of our favorite on-screen bromances. Plus, imagine bringing all their fun adventures to life. Our casting for Dave? Matthew Lillard, of course!
Finding Fiends updates every Monday and Thursday and can be read here!
Nonesuch
A personal favorite WEBTOON of ours is The Bisty Artist‘s Nonesuch. It took us by storm this year, and we won’t be surprised if it becomes our entire persona for a while. The western-esque supernatural series would make for great television as Connor and Bridget try and find their way out of Nonesuch. They could take a dark turn with the series or keep it more light-hearted as they explore the mystery behind the copies and what is really going on.
Nonesuch updates every Tuesday and can be read here!
Betwixt
Speaking of mysteries, how about mixing them with supernatural and rock and roll? We absolutely loved the first season of Harihtaroon‘s Betwixt and need it to make the jump to TV. Getting to explore the in-between world that Alex is trapped in and watching him work alongside Sasha would be great. Plus, we love a good plant momma who just wants to be helpful. And imagine the music that they could feature in each episode!
Betwixt is currently on hiatus and can be read here!

Morgana and Oz
Everyone has been obsessed with Netflix’s Wednesday (as they should be), and we have something perfect to follow that up. Miyuli‘s Morgana and Oz features a family of witches against a rival vampire clan. The supernatural element is perfect for TV, and the little budding romance between Morgana and Oz makes this sweet. Mix in that they need to work together to stop an all-out war, and you have binge-worthy television all wrapped up in a nice bow.

EMPYREA
We have a few good reasons to include Ohkates‘ EMPYREA on this list. First, it’s a terrific WEBTOON set in a beautiful world and features a steampunk-esque style that’s perfect for a TV series. Second, we have been fan-casting Hawk since he stepped onto the page. Our pick right now? Nick Robinson. The third reason would be that a TV series would mean that we could get the third season of this fantastic series.

Shiloh
Folx – moves over the stepstool and climbs up – READ KIT TRACE AND KATE FLYNN‘s Shiloh. Thank you. And now that we have that out of the way, let’s talk about why the next step should be making this into a TV series. The thriller WEBTOON is terrific. It’s equal parts mystery, thriller, suspense, and action and has so many fantastic plotlines that will give us more than enough to cover multiple seasons. Plus, who doesn’t love a badass leading lady in the form of Callahan and her grumpy partner showing her the ropes?

Unholy Blood
What comes to mind when you think of kickass vampires, a hilarious hot cop and a secret world? Lina Im and Jeonghyeon Kim‘s Unholy Blood. And what a TV series this story would make. It’s packed with action, suspense, thriller, mystery, drama and romance. Step aside, Twilight; a new vampire story is in town. Hayan is an incredible lead character with passion and growth, and from start to finish, this epic story needs to be told over multiple mediums.
Unholy Blood is completed and can be read here!
RELATED: Ingrid Ochoa Gushes Over Her Romance WEBTOON The Kiss Bet
The Kiss Bet
Sometimes all we need is a sweet rom-com to get us in our feels. And Ingrid Ochoa‘s The Kiss Bet is precisely what we need. It’s got everything we love in a high school drama series, like a strong leading lady, an adorable best friend, a grumpy love interest and a terrific supporting cast. Anyone who has read this series knows that it would flow from the page to the screen like honey.
The Kiss Bet updates every Saturday and can be read here!
The Witch and The Bull
The final WEBTOON series we need to see on TV in 2023 is Moonsia‘s The Witch and The Bull. And this one is a must because I want to watch Tan run around as a bull for the vast majority of the series. But also, just imagine watching Aro’s constellations come to list and how beautiful her magic would be to portray on screen. It’s a no-brainer that this series needs a TV counterpart that does it justice.
