As the world of WEBTOON grows, we find ourselves looking to dive into any creative content we can. To help fill those needs, WEBTOON recently partnered with creators Refrainbow and Miyuli to bring us a how-to and coloring book for each of their series. Boyfriends and Morgana and Oz are two of our favorite series within their respective genres and on the app as a whole. They are wholesome, heartwarming and downright enjoyable.

If you haven’t had the chance to enjoy Boyfriends or Morgana and Oz – hop to it! Boyfriends updates every Tuesday and can be read here. Morgana and Oz updates every Monday and can be read here!

A break down of the different tools to use when drawing and coloring in art inspired by the WEBTOON Morgana and Oz.

Learn to Draw Morgana and Oz

For those looking to recreate the art style of Refrainbow and Miyuli, we suggest picking up either Learn to Draw Boyfriends or Learn to Draw Morgana and Oz. Each book briefly dives into what the series is about, a bit of their creative process and how they draw their characters. It also includes the color palettes they use and tips and tricks on how to start.

As someone far from the creative drawing realm, I found it refreshing to see a section in each book that shows what tools they use from beginning to end. Plus, all of the step-by-step instructions were easy to follow. Whether you are a novice or have years of experience, there is something to learn. And while most of it is geared toward each series style, the lessons taught are universal.

The Official Boyfriends Coloring Book

Now, for those who aren’t gifted in the art of drawing but want to relax, we suggest picking up either The Official Boyfriends Coloring Book or The Official Morgana and Oz Coloring Book. Both feature some background information on the official WEBTOON series before diving into the coloring pages. Each coloring page has an already colored version to follow along. However, feel free to color each image as your creative mind sees fit. And if you happen to grab both sets of books, you will have the color palette at your fingertips.

Whether you are looking to break into the world of WEBTOON, becoming a novice comic artist or just looking for a way to relax, all these books are worth checking out. Be sure to treat yourself this spring season with some creative serotonin and relaxation. Special editions of each of the books can be found on WEBTOON’s official store. Both series will be available online and in stores on April 16, 2024.
