I know that as soon as October hits, the spooky season takes over our souls. And I am totally for that, but sometimes I like to remind myself that the fall season is so much more. The leaves change and begin to fall, and the air becomes crisp. We swap our summer clothes for more comfy attire, and readers like myself head into book hibernation. So, to celebrate this time of year, we are looking at 10 WEBTOON series that scream fall. I love nothing more than a comfy pair of flannels, a warm blanket, a cup of my favorite hot chocolate and diving into a story that reminds me of the beautiful season outside.

Blood Reverie
Our first WEBTOON series, perfect for fall, is Lifelight‘s Blood Reverie. Cassia works a dead-end job, lives in a cramped apartment and can’t remember her own last name. She has a lot on her plate, physically and emotionally. Good thing she has a charming vampire boyfriend to fall back on. Except he lives in her dreams. I don’t know what it is about fall that just screams vampire to me, but that is what is drawing me to this series right now. Vampire boyfriends and badass heroines.

Love Me to Death
I’ve talked about Toonimated‘s Love Me to Death quite a bit these last few weeks, but here we are again. Victor is a lonely necromancer who is offered a rather prominent reward to resurrect a beautiful woman. What they didn’t prepare themselves for was the deep connection that would develop between Victor and his “monster.” Is it a fall/spooky season without a Frankenstein-type story? Plus, necromancers, raising the dead, and the entire setting of this story just give those comfy fall vibes we are looking for.

Nevermore
Speaking of stories with fall vibes, the third on this list is Kate Flynn and Kit Trace‘s Nevermore. This time of year always has me pulling out some of my favorite Edgar Allan Poe works. So what would be more perfect than a story that encompasses it to an extent? At Nevermore Academy, Lenore and Annabel Lee must begin their curriculum to recover the memories of their tragic demise and earn a second chance at life. Another honorable mention for fall vibes would be their other series, Shiloh.
Nevermore updates every Friday and can be read here!
Molly-l’Iris
A new addition to my evergrowing TBR list is Mai-Col’s Molly-l’Iris. The fantasy action series follows Stonewall & Associates – spells and herbal remedies. When Adrienne, a young spellcaster, arrives in the bustling city of Molly-l’Iris in search of a mentor, she finds Jack, the deadbeat owner of an almost bankrupt magic shop. We are still early on in the story, but for me, Mai-Col’s art style and color palette provide the same comfort that I get whenever I read things with fall vibes.

Of Swamp & Sea
One of my favorite WEBTOON series of all time just so happens to be one of my favorite fall must-reads. Mia Jay Boulton and Laurel Boulton‘s Of Swamp & Sea deals with supernatural beasts, a grumpy monster hunter, a sweet book-reading girl looking for adventure and a monster hunt that goes very wrong. Now the two are traveling on the same path, and it seems that their relationship may be more than strictly professional. I don’t know how many times I can scream this from the rooftops – read this series!
Of Swamp & Sea is currently on hiatus. Catch up on season one here!
School Bus Graveyard
Red‘s School Bus Graveyard is my only true thriller WEBTOON on this list. Not every horror/thriller WEBTOON gives off fall vibes, but this one does. It has a big thing to do with Ashlyn and her new group of friends having a fateful visit to a haunted house. And what is more fall than haunted houses? And this is the place that causes them all to see monsters at night, which forces them to forge bonds to survive. Fall, found family, haunted houses. It all goes together, I promise.

Hooky
Did you think we would forget to add Míriam Bonastre Tur‘s Hooky from a list of WEBTOON series that scream fall? Those of little faith. Of course, we had to include Dani and Dorian on our list. Years ago, we fell in love with the two witches who missed the bus to the school of magic and went down a path to find someone to teach them to be great witches. Everything from the art style to the color to the incredible backgrounds that grace each chapter just gives those comfy fall feels.
Hooky is completed and can be read here!
Blood Stain
I never expected to be so captivated by a scientist and his assistant. But then I found Linda Sejic‘s Blood Stain, and my whole life changed. The series is about courage, growing up and finding friendships in the most unlikely places. Plus, the friendship that blossoms between Elliot and Dr. Stein is one of my favorite adult friendships in a WEBTOON. It’s not fall vibes all the time, but it is definitely one of my comfort reads on my fall TBR.
Blood Stain updates every other Tuesday and can be read here!

The Wolfman of Wulvershire
Werewolves, giant castles and gothic mysteries are essential when it comes to anything with fall vibes. This is why I needed to reread K. Oliver‘s The Wolfman of Wulvershire this month. Lady Carina would rather be single, but the world has other plans for her. It shocks everyone when she arrives at the Duke of Wulvershire’s annual Spring Fling. But not as shocking as the series of murders that begin to take place. This series is all about Carina making it out alive and maybe finding herself a hunky husband.
The Wolfman of Wulvershire is completed and can be read here!
Third Shift Society
Of course, Meredith Moriarty‘s Third Shift Society is on this list. Icabod is named after one of the most iconic fall characters of all time (Sleepy Hollow), and he has a pumpkin for a head. Do you need more of an explanation? It is a supernatural drama where Icabod and Elliot work as paranormal detectives facing off against things that go bump in the night. If there is one WEBTOON that screams fall – it’s this one.
Third Shift Society is currently on hiatus. Catch up on seasons one and two here!
