The time has finally arrived, friends. According to a particular screenshot, we have the release date for the Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer to finally debut. And it actually makes a lot of sense so we have a good feeling about this particular news. Fans on the West Coast of the Americas will have to wake up real early if they want to see it air live (or at least right when it goes up). Star Wars fans who are used to trailer premieres will know exactly what I’m talking about…because it will air on Good Morning America!
That’s right, everyone’s favorite Disney-owned network will debut the first full length teaser trailer on February 5th, sometime between 7 and 9am EST. That is according to a screenshot taken by Star Wars Stuff on Twitter. It’s a screenshot because the website no longer has that information displayed. In addition, apparently fans will get a little something during the Superbowl this Sunday. Possibly a truncated version of the trailer, we learned from Making Star Wars. And a tweet from director Ron Howard suggests a Superbowl appearance as well.

Our assumption says that ad-space is extremely expensive during the Superbowl and Disney might want to air their other productions. At the very least, they wouldn’t need to worry much about debuting the Solo trailer on their own network – given that it probably costs them close to nothing. But guys! Were finally gonna see some footage! Are you excited? Despite myself, I am very excited. After all the drama the film has been through, I’m mostly excited for it to be out in the world. As for the trailer, I’m hoping to see some Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian.
