WB Planning to Campaign WONDER WOMAN For Best Director and Best Picture

By the Gods! According to Variety, WB may be planning big things for Wonder Woman. Namely, they’re going to try to push her into awards season. Nothing has been officially announced and a WB spokesperson declined to comment. But if this is true – let’s get excited!

According to the site, WB is going to push for Best Director and Best Picture. Which is crazy! Christopher Nolan wasn’t even nominated for Best Director and he directed the masterpiece known as The Dark Knight trilogy. If this is true, Patty Jenkins will be the first person nominated as Best Director for a superhero film. I’m just over the moon about this.

Now, there’s no guarantee of a nomination if they even try to campaign for it. As The Dark Knight wasn’t even nominated for Best Picture, which I’ve said is a masterpiece. So could we possibly get a nomination in this climate? I think there’s a chance. Is it for certain? Absolutely not. What I do believe is that Wonder Woman will win something, besides our hearts.
