Fox has released the first six minutes of the first episode, “eXposed” of the new series, The Gifted. The Marvel show is set in the X-Men universe. The show features mutants that have strong connections to the X-Men movies, but don’t expect to see many of the well known heroes.
The story takes place after the X-Men have gone. People are afraid of mutants and what harm they could do. The government has created a special task force, the Sentinel Services to track down and capture mutants.
Reed (Stephen Moyer) and Kate Strucker (Amy Acker) discover their children have abilities. The family is forced to go on the run to avoid losing the children. They find help from an underground mutant network.

In the first six minutes, the police are chasing a runaway mutant, Blink (Jamie Chung). The runaway has escaped a mutant detention center. The mutant underground network are also looking for the runaway to help her. The mutants, John (Blair Redford), Lorna (Emma Dumont), and Marcos (Sean Teale) find her first. They make a narrow escape when Lorna uses her abilities to fight back.
