I’ve had a love/hate thing going with Destiny for a quite a while now. I dove into Destiny when it first released, excited to see what an FPSMMO was all about, and to experience the new world brought to us by Bungie. Unfortunately, I lost interest fairly quickly and didn’t look back until my brother convinced me to give it a second look about 6 to 8 months later. The game had made enough changes that I found myself having fun and enjoyed the game immensely.
However, I felt they squandered a fantastic opportunity and fell flat. The story was severely lacking, the storyline was weak and didn’t flow properly, they introduced limited events, like Sparrow Racing, and never brought them back. I started logging more time on other games then realized I hadn’t logged into Destiny since early March to claim my Valentine’s Day Ghost.
Now a new expansion is on the horizon, Destiny: Rise of Iron, and I find myself wondering if it’s worth going back. To that end here is the first 10 minutes of gameplay, whether you are undecided to just curious or itching for something new in Destiny.
Destiny: Rise of Iron releases on September 20, 2016 for Xbox One & PlayStation 4. Obviously, spoilers.
